Storage storage storage

I'm cleaning. I've said it on Facebook, I've whined about it on Splitcoast and now I'm fessing up here! I'm having to clean my scrap studio yet again!

Because I started the "BIG UNMOUNTING PROJECT" many other projects went by the way side. Ministry paperwork (because our studio also doubles as our office) is piling up. Books from school are stacked on the floor. Donations are boxed in corners.

But I have to somehow conserve space! How?

I've noticed I tend to zippie lock bag everything, then the bags get stacked in a cubbie, then they spill out and chaos reigns.

So I was reading a thread on Splitcoast about Big Sizzix dies storage solutions and while I don't have a ton of these types of dies, I do have a growing collection of Cuttlebug and Sizzix embossing folders again, in a zippie lock bag!

Looking around the house I found a basically unused recipe box, the beautiful Longaberger recipe box and wala! Those pesky little folders fit right in!

So what storage solution have you found around your house? What "reuse" have you been able to come up with that eliminated clutter in one area and organized another? It's time for me to search some more! I'm sure there are ways to double up use something else around this chaos!

Great idea for using the basket, I have about five small baskets on my craft desk that hold either scissors, glue, ink pads, etc. Love them!!

Especially if they are just sitting around the house looking pretty and doing nothing else? LOL As was the case here, taking up kitchen counter space and not storing recipes?

Love your gorgeous storage idea!

My favorite re-purposed item is a Pampered Chef Turn-around tool holder that I use to store my well-organized-by-color Copic markers.

love the idea... I use a cardboard cd case to hold all the stamped images i receive from swaps.

Nice job using the basket! I also use baskets: All on the top of my stamp room cabinets, I have pretty baskets. But they are functional, too. I keep loose stamps in them and cards from swaps and things like that in them. It helps keep the things that I don't use often or that I don't need close at hand in an organized space.
I also have been buying lots of photo boxes. They are pretty inexpensive when Michael's has them on sale and it's nice to have a bunch that are all the same sizes and coordinate.

Nice idea to use a pretty basket you had hanging around. I love to re-purpose items. I'm a sucker for large Jars I re-use from our Costco purchases. I also found old baking pans and a fun color of spray paint work well together. Lots of fun!

Great idea to use your basket for those folders. I don't have too many problems storing my supplies because I have a Scrapbox and the totes it holds is perfect for my stuff, but I am running out of room for my stamps and I'm not sure if I want to go unmounted.

I love the basket! I just recently found snap and store and am using them for my cricut cartridges, manuals, and overlays. I am always looking for new and inexpensive ways to get organized! TFS!
